If so, there's nothing UMS can do about it, this is limitations in the UPnP standard itself. If you have a partial wired and partial wireless network, and the UMS and the PS3 are on different "parts" (one of Wifi, one on wired), this is the most likely cause of the problem. This means there can be no router between them that blocks the communication. For UPnP/DLNA to work, all the devices must be on the same "network"/subnet. There is no trace in the log of any PS3 being present, so I think the most likely cause is that your network is configured wrong. To eliminate the slim chance that this is cause the problems, please turn off / disconnect "DIRECTV" before starting UMS and try to connect the PS3. That said, I don't think this is causing the communication problem with the PS3, although I can't be 100% sure. I've made a fix for that, so that when a renderer breaks the standard UMS should handle it better in the next version. UMS doesn't handle that well, which leads to an error. There is one error there that's caused by a renderer in your network called "DIRECTV" not following the UPnP standard properly.

It will not install as there is not Media player 11 installed. PS Since this IS the MSS website I tried it out on the MSS. I think it is a Vista thing, not a Playon thing. HOWEVER, this happens also when I access my computer directly. I also had to reset my PCH after trying to switch to other media on the PlayOn.

There are still some rough edges with the PlayOn software (still in beta) like losing the UPnP server for a while (mysteriously came back tho). did not try the XBox360 as the PS3 is my goto box for streaming. I supplied the Playon with my Netflix log on info. Hulu does NOT work with the PCH as the codec is not supported I guess. Very nice picture (about as good as a DVD), a tiny bit of stuttering, and sound works fine. I just watched Heroes from my Netflix instant queue using the popcorn hour. It goes to all of my boxes, PS3, XBox360, HP Mediasmart box, AND the Popcorn streamer! Just downloaded this TERRIFIC on line media streamer for HULU, CBS, NETFLIX instant movies, and several others.
